Jeffrey Lague

Jeffrey Lague studied piano, oboe and composition at the Royal College of Music and conducting at Trinity College of Music.

He appears regularly in recital both as soloist and with duet partner Pierre Benke and also in concertos with over twenty such works in his repertoire.

He has always been interested in performing and promoting less familiar works and recently gave the UK premiere of the recently re-discovered second piano sonata by Sergei Bortkiewicz which was lost shortly after the composer gave its premiere in Vienna in 1941.

He was invited by the British Music Society to write an essay on the piano music of the English composer Joseph Holbrooke and this was subsequently published in one of their journals.
